This year’s Conference will feature a stellar group of writing and publishing professionals who will discuss a wide range of literary topics covering fiction, nonfiction, short stories, screenwriting, legal matters, promotion and more. Presenters’ books will be available for purchase and signing.

Noted Florida authors James W. Hall and Les Standiford will be the keynote speakers at the Conference luncheon.

The Florida Heritage Book Festival is a nonprofit organization. Proceeds from the Festival functions benefit the St. Johns County libraries through their Friends of the Library organizations and The St. Augustine Record News in Education program.

Just to clear up some confusion we thought we should clarify a point or two. We are not part of the Florida Sisters in Crime Chapter which has their own website at: http://www.floridasistersincrime.com/ They are the official chapter in Florida to the National Sisters in Crime website at: http://www.sistersincrime.org/. The Florida Chapter holds monthly meetings at a local library in Jacksonville, Florida. They charge dues to join and have talks by various people of interest in the crime field.

We are an informational blog for everyone who loves to read and/or write about crime, whether it is fiction or real crimes on the First Coast involving women. Kind of like a fan club. We are hoping to provide resources for female writers on the First Coast and new stories for crime fiction readers as well. There are not enough books out there about female crime fighters in our area. We are focused on the Northeast Florida area including Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach, Fernandina, St Augustine, Callahan, Yulee, etc. We hope to hear from local writers and encourage them to submit their stories for review as well. So, if you live on the First Coast of Florida and like to read and/or write stories whether about real events or fictional with strong female lead characters then we hope to hear from you!.

Welcome to the First Coast Sisters in Crime Info Blog.  We will be adding information about Florida’s First Coast female crime writers, North Florida Mysteries that feature female lead characters and anything else that comes to mind.  We will be offering ebooks about women who solve crimes.  We would like to concentrate on only those stories in the North Florida Area and that are about women but the ebooks we have available will include other areas as well.  We want to encourage women writers to submit their stories for review and hope to hear from other people on the first coast that love mysteries as much as we do.
